Bob Wright Indoor RangeThe Bob Wright Indoor Range houses the club house for meetings and classes and a 10 lane shooting facility. Sporterifle, Bullseye, Indoor Silhouette, IDPA and Action Shooting all utilize this facility in the winter time. This facility is available for all club members. All ammunition is restricted to 1500fps muzzle velocity. Due to this restriction, only .22lr rifles and all pistols with a muzzle velocity under 1500fps are allowed in the indoor range. No centerfire rifles, shotguns or black powder firearms of any kind are allowed indoors. Outdoor Rifle RangeThe Outdoor Rifle Range is our newest facility and the only unrestricted firearm range at the club. The 200 yard range hosts a variety of targets every 50 yards and the ability for the shooter to hang their own paper target. Steel targets are located on the left side of the range and frames for paper targets are located on the right. It is the only range where shotguns, muzzle loaders and ammunition over 1500fps is allowed. No incendiary, armor penetrating or explosive rounds or targets are allowed at any of the WRPC ranges. The Art Pluretti Tactical Range is a popular range for practicing with centerfire handguns and .22lr pistols and rifles. There are 4 plate racks set up at two different stages where members can come down and plink away. Ammunition is restricted to 1500fps and centerfire rifles are restricted to pistol calibers that fall below the 1500fps restriction. No shotguns are allowed at this range as they can be used at the Outdoor Rifle Range. The Art Pluretti Tactical Range is home to the Tactical/Fast Action shoot that occurs in the summer on the first Saturday of the month. |
Outdoor Silhouette Range |
The Outdoor Silhouette Range is the oldest outdoor range at the club. With berms at 40, 50, 75 and 100 yards, members can engage targets at varying distances. There is no ammunition allowed over 1500fps at this range so only .22lr rifles and pistols (rimfire and centerfire) with velocities below 1500fps are the only firearms allowed. This range is home to the Outdoor Silhouette shoot which occurs on the 3rd Sunday of the month in the summer. |
Outdoor Pistol Range |
The Outdoor Pistol Range was specifically created with IDPA and Action Shooting in mind. Berms were constructed to create 4 different shooting bays where a wide variance in targets can be set up for practice and competitions. This set up allows IDPA and Action Shooting to have multiple squads shooting simultaneously and safely. This range is restricted to centerfire handguns with velocities under 1500fps. IDPA occurs every 2nd Saturday of the month and Action Shooting occurs every 4th Sunday of the month.
